Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- 1 Open the app and tap the Profile tab (bottom-right).
- 2 Scroll to the bottom of the profile page to find account options.
- 3 Tap "Delete Account" and confirm when prompted. Your account and data will be queued for deletion.
Option 2 — Email request
If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the email address registered in the app with the subject line: Account Deletion Request. We may ask you to verify account ownership before proceeding.
What is deleted
- Your account credentials and authentication records.
- Your display name, username, and profile photo.
- All direct messages and chat conversations.
- Shared images sent or received in chat.
- Bookmarks, news reactions (likes/dislikes), and content impressions.
- Notification preferences and push tokens.
What may be retained
- Safety and abuse records — anonymised moderation logs (e.g. reports you filed or received) may be retained for up to 90 days after deletion for legal compliance and abuse-prevention purposes.
- Support correspondence — emails exchanged with support may be retained for up to 12 months as required for dispute resolution.
- Any data we are required to retain by applicable Indian law.
How long it takes
In-app deletion is processed immediately. Email requests are processed within 30 days of identity verification. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete.
